Installation Guide

STEP 16: Apply peel-n-stick white foam tape (C) to outside top area of pipe. Note: Foam tape (C) is to be applied 1/4" from top edge of pipe. (Fig. 6A)

STEP 17: Top dome ring (B): press ring down over white foam tape until top of ring is level with top edge of tape. (Fig. 6B)

STEP 18: Install 2 piece reflector (C) at top of pipe. (Fig. 6B) Face shiny curved section south, shiny straight section east.

STEP 19: Clear top dome (A). Place dome on top of dome ring (B). (Fig. 6C) Remove protective film.

STEP 20: Attach roof dome clamp (E) to pipe (I), clear top dome (A) and top dome ring (B). (Fig. 6D)

STEP 21: Take assembled unit up onto roof and lower down through ceiling approximately 1/8". Secure pipe to ceiling joist or block of wood with 3/4" screw (N). (Fig. 7)

STEP 22: Caulk around bottom edge of pipe and drywall with a white non-shrinkable caulking. (Fig. 7)

STEP 23: On the roof, apply black peel-n-stick tape (G) around joint of flashing and pipe. While applying stretch gently so that no wrinkles form on pipe. Press tape (G) tightly to metal to form a water tight seal. (Fig. 7)

STEP 24: Attach storm collar (F) to pipe just above black peel-n-stick tape (G), and caulk top of storm collar.

STEP 25: Secure flashing (H) to roof by nailing the two bottom corners and center with roofing nails (S) and cover with mastic OR use galvanized neo-washered screws. (Fig. 4)

STEP 26: Where shingle fasteners have been removed or cut, it is prudent to gum-seal these areas under the shingles.

STEP 27: Install white peel-n-stick foam tape (C) around top outside edge of ceiling diffuser (K). Be sure inside of dome is clean before installing. (Fig. 7)

STEP 28: Remove film from inside of pipe (I) and install ceiling diffuser (K) using 4 screws (P). Install 4 screw caps (Q). Replace insulation around pipe in attic.
