Installation Guide

STEP 13: Determine exact length of pipe required by measuring from the top of the flashing (H) to the bottom of the ceiling hole and adding 4" minimum, plus 2" per joint where applicable. (Fig. 4)
NOTE: Always cut total length of pipe from bottom and always cut the crimped edge off the bottom. Be sure to allow for this in your measurement. (Fig. 5)

STEP 14: Assemble the All-Canadian Tubular Skylite pipe in a clean, dry area. (Fig. 5) Pipe comes in 24", 36", and 48" lengths.

  • Snap lock pipe or pipes (I) together by pressing seam together. Be sure they are totally locked.
  • Use a knife to score clear protective film along both sides of seam inside each section.
  • Bottom section of pipe: Peel clear protective film down to about 12" from bottom and leave until installation is completed.
  • Remove all film from all other sections of pipe.
  • If more than one section of pipe required, assemble all pipes together. Inserting the crimped edge down into the pipe below it.
NOTE: Crimped edge is always at bottom of pipe.
  • Do not line up seams but rather alternate them from front to back.
  • Once assembled, measure from top to bottom to be sure pipe is long enough.
  • Apply foil tape to all seams and joints.
Note: Be sure and apply foil tape over the top edge of the top pipe and down the inside of the pipe 1/2". (Fig. 5)

STEP 15: Measure from top of pipe to where pipe is to be cut with a pair of tin snips. Draw a line around pipe and cut along this line.
